Tutorial Text:

Begin by placing the pole against your back just next to your spine. Place your dominant hand into twisted grip and ensure the pole is pressed into your traps (squishy bit of muscle down the side and below the neck). Do not press the pole into the scapular.

Place the other hand thumbs down in a cup grip behind your head. Engaging the core kick or lift your body up as if you were performing a shoulder mount.

Hook the heel of your dominant side onto the pole while pressing your shoulder against it as well.

Split your legs so that the other leg stretches out to the side – do this slowly to keep your position.

When you’re ready, remove the secondary hand and reach for the extended leg, splitting as wide as possible.
