I do hope you find some relief from your injury!!  My doctor originally talked about straining of the cartilages between my ribs, since the rib xrays did not show any dislocation.  But everything I read about that talked about a very long recovery process.  My pain would wrap all the way around my rib cage front to back, sometimes only hurt in the back and sometimes only in the front or side.  It seemed to “move around” a lot!!  Eventually though, the scapular muscles became so tight it felt like I had a knot in my back.  I starting having regular massages for awhile and that seemed to help.  But honestly, I believe complete rest from the pole is what ultimately helped, then starting back on strength training.  I was surprised at how quickly it came back to me after starting the strength training.  So please don’t give up hope.  I would be lost if I didn’t have my pole to workout with (although I am on a temporary hiatus myself, due to my husband being ill and in the hospital for a few days, and the holidays interrupting my schedule).  But my plan is to get straight back to it right after the new year, and my New Year’s resolution is to devote serious attention to this hobby/passion and learning new moves and tricks!!  Good luck!!
