Go up with the side climb. Hook your upper leg as much as you can (you have to be sure the pole is fitted exactly under your knee). Push your hips and place your other leg. You have to find your comfortable point on your knee (but it will hurt a little bit anyway). When you feel confident that you won’t fall take your hands off the pole (you can do it with them – whatever you want). I recommend thicker poles for this move – more space you have for the knee, more confident you will feel. Good luck!
